Original Deluxe KeyStone with new 1:18 gear ratio
Following their introduction in our GrandTune machine heads and the revision of the M6 series, we have now also equipped the Original Deluxe KeyStone with a 1:18 gear ratio.
The higher gear ratio ensures precise and velvet-smooth tuning. A valuable investment in your guitar to improve tuning accuracy.
Features
- Boasts perfect vintage dimensions and a faithful appearance: suitable for both modern and historical instruments.
- Replacement machine head with 2-screw mount and threaded bushing as a counter-bearing.
- Available as Single-Ring (SR) and Double-Ring (DR) versions.
- All closed machine heads are permanently lubricated with Schaller special grease and are therefore completely maintenance-free.
- All components are precision-manufactured and surface-finished, ensuring consistent, sensitive, and stable tuning through the self-locking drive.
- We manufacture all posts from high-quality brass; they are fitted into the housing with extreme precision, guaranteeing the highest possible tuning stability and wear resistance.
- Worm gear made of polished stainless steel for smoother and longer-lasting operation.

Instructions: Changing strings with TopLocking posts
- Turn the TopLocking screw on the post counter-clockwise until the clamping ball is released.
- Press the guitar string against the ball; it will retract, allowing you to insert the string through the post.
- Tighten the TopLocking screw clockwise; the ball will now securely lock the string.
- Tune the strings to pitch.
- New with metric fine thread and specially developed thread locker. This ensures that the clamping screw on the post will not get lost!
- Simply continue turning against the threshold resistance when tightening until the string is clamped.
- When completely removing the TopLocking screw from the post, simply pull the clamping screw off the post past the threshold resistance.
- To reattach the TopLocking screw, simply screw it on clockwise and tighten slightly.
